Approve cut-over
Round 1 matchesFiles and database are in sync
The move, in eight steps
A controlled path to the new server.
- PlanReads the source and the target, writes nothing, keeps a performance baseline.
- Target siteThe site on the new server, checked before anything is copied.
- FilesBox-to-box copy of the files outside git: one round ahead, one at the cut.
- DatabaseA copy ahead and a last copy at the cut; tables and rows compared.
- Workers & cronRecreated on the new server, paused until the cut-over.
- Cut-overMaintenance on both copies, the last round, workers moved, DNS repointed.
- VerifyThe new copy is checked from outside and compared with the baseline.
- RetireThe old copy goes only after 7 days, behind its own approval.
The plan writes nothing.
It reads both servers and shows what will move and what will not.
Nothing runs twice.
Workers and the scheduler stay paused on the new server until the cut-over.
The old copy stays for 7 days.
It is retired only after that, behind its own approval and checks.
Move your next site with a way back.
Plan the move, review each step and approve the cut-over when you are ready.
